ShotFun Terms of Service

These ShotFun Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Beijing Zhihuixiu Fan Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, which legally own and operate the ShotFun desktop client application and official website. ShotFun provides AI comic drama production, content generation, creative editing, information publishing and related services.

Please read and fully understand these Terms before using ShotFun, especially provisions that exempt or limit liability, restrict user rights, grant rights or permit information use, govern special services, and address governing law and dispute resolution. If you are under 18, you must read and understand these Terms with your legal guardian and use ShotFun only after your guardian consents.

By using ShotFun, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may choose not to use ShotFun.

We may, according to product, service or operational needs, have certain services under these Terms provided or operated by our affiliates or third parties. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about these Terms, contact us at support@shotfun.ai.

The only official way to obtain ShotFun is to visit shotfun.ai and download the product from the official website.

ShotFun currently supports desktop use only, including Windows and Mac systems with Apple Silicon chips. If you obtain ShotFun from any unofficial source, or install it on unsupported systems or devices, we cannot guarantee that the version is official or that it will work properly. Except where laws and regulations provide otherwise, we are not liable for losses caused by unofficial versions or incompatible devices.

You are responsible for preparing a compatible desktop device and network connection. Internet access fees, data fees and similar costs are borne by you.

ShotFun is a local processing tool and does not provide cloud storage or automatic backup. Your project files, generated images or videos, and imported content are stored locally on your device. You must properly keep and back up local data yourself. If local data is lost due to device damage, system reinstallation, accidental deletion, device replacement or similar causes, we cannot restore it and the related loss is borne by you.

We may update or change ShotFun products or services from time to time to improve user experience or meet operational, security and compliance needs. If you do not wish to use an updated version, you may uninstall ShotFun.

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive and non-commercial right to lawfully use ShotFun. All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by us. Unless we give prior express written authorization, you may not use ShotFun in any unauthorized form, including adaptation, copying, distribution, crawling, vertical search, mirroring or trading.

ShotFun uses a real-name registration system. You may obtain and use an account by registering with a lawful mobile phone number, or, for certain users, through account information manually added by our staff. You must ensure that the identity information and mobile phone number you provide are true, valid and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

ShotFun does not provide guest mode or no-login access. You must register and sign in to a ShotFun account before using functions including AI content generation, editing, saving and exporting.

ShotFun currently does not support users changing nickname, avatar, profile or similar account information by themselves. Your account information is based on information bound during registration or generated by default when opened in the backend. Without another person’s express written permission, you may not create a ShotFun account in another person’s name or impersonate another person’s name, organization, trade name, trademark, avatar or other identity information.

Your ShotFun account is for your own use only. You may not gift, lend, rent, transfer, sell or otherwise permit another person to use it. If we reasonably believe that the user is not the account registrant, we may suspend or terminate services to that account to protect account security.

You are responsible for maintaining true, accurate, lawful and valid identity materials and necessary information. When submitted registration information changes, you should update it in a timely manner.

You are responsible for the security and confidentiality of your ShotFun account and for legal responsibility for activities under the account. Losses caused by your improper custody of the account are borne by you.

You may apply to cancel your ShotFun account. After cancellation, we will delete or anonymize account information except where laws and regulations provide otherwise. After cancellation, you cannot recover content or information in or related to the account. According to applicable laws and regulations, if you do not sign in and use the account for more than six consecutive months after registration, we may freeze or reclaim the account.

Some ShotFun functions, including AI content generation, AI image generation, AI video generation, AI speech generation and other creative assistance services, consume credits. When using these functions, you must consume the corresponding credits in your account according to the requirements. The specific credit consumption standard is subject to real-time information shown in the ShotFun product interface.

If you request a refund of unused credits after recharge, we will process it based on the principle of deducting the consumed portion from the amount actually paid.

Refund amount = amount actually paid at recharge - (consumed credits / standard credit price).

Gift credits, reward credits and other credits not purchased with actual payment are not included in refunds and have no cash value. By requesting a refund, you are deemed to waive all gift benefits corresponding to that recharge. Consumed credits will first be converted into cash at the standard price, meaning the undiscounted unit price, and deducted from the amount actually paid. If the refund amount calculated under this formula is less than or equal to zero, no refund will be provided.

You understand and agree that necessary costs such as third-party payment platform fees arising from refunds may be borne by you, and we may deduct them directly from the refund amount.

We are committed to providing a civilized, rational, friendly and high-quality communication platform. After completing real identity authentication as required, you may use ShotFun to create and publish videos, images, text and other information content, and you must ensure that all published content, whether public or not, complies with laws and regulations.

You may not create, copy, publish or distribute illegal or prohibited content, including content that opposes constitutional principles; endangers national security; discloses state secrets; subverts state power; undermines national unity; damages national honor or interests; distorts, insults, desecrates or denies the deeds and spirit of heroes and martyrs; promotes terrorism or extremism; incites related activities; promotes ethnic hatred or discrimination; undermines ethnic unity; undermines national religious policies; promotes cults or feudal superstition; fabricates or spreads rumors or false information; disrupts economic or social order; spreads obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, murder, terror or criminal incitement; insults or defames others; infringes reputation, privacy, portrait, intellectual property or other lawful rights; or is otherwise prohibited by laws or administrative regulations.

You may not create or publish harmful content, and should actively resist its spread, including exaggerated titles that seriously mismatch the content, hype about scandals or misconduct, sexual suggestion or provocation, bloody, frightening or cruel content, vulgar or kitsch content, content that may cause minors to imitate unsafe behavior or violate public morality, or other content violating laws, regulations, public order or good customs.

If we reasonably believe your conduct violates or may violate the above requirements, we may take action, including terminating all or part of ShotFun services to you without prior notice, and may pursue legal responsibility according to law.

You may not use plug-ins, add-ons, systems or third-party tools to interfere with, damage, modify or otherwise affect the normal operation of ShotFun.

You may not engage in activities that endanger ShotFun system security, including illegal network intrusion, network data theft, provision of hacking tools, reverse engineering, reverse assembly or malicious account registration.

Without our written permission, no user or third party may use information or content in ShotFun for unfair competition, unauthorized crawling, hotlinking, mirroring, commercial resale or development of competing products.

To provide more anime creation choices and convenience, ShotFun offers product functions and services based on generative or deep synthesis artificial intelligence technologies.

When using AI functions, you may submit text, images, videos and other input content to ShotFun, and ShotFun may generate text, images, videos and other output content in response.

You understand and promise that input content must be content for which you own intellectual property rights or have obtained lawful authorization from the rights holder. To the extent permitted by applicable law, intellectual property rights and other property interests in output content generated through your use of AI functions belong to you.

When you generate, create, publish or distribute non-real information or other content generated or synthesized using AI technology that may cause public confusion or mistaken understanding, we may add appropriate labels such as watermarks according to applicable laws, regulations and mandatory national standards. You may not cover, erase, modify or remove labels added by us.

Because of current scientific and technological limitations and the nature of artificial intelligence, we cannot guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of output content. Output content is for reference only and should not be the basis for any action. ShotFun makes no warranty regarding output content, and you must judge it yourself and bear the related risks.

You should understand and use generative artificial intelligence technology rationally and lawfully, and may not use it to generate rumors, false information or illegal content. Consequences and responsibilities arising from your judgment or subsequent actions based on output content are borne by you.

In no event will we be liable for indirect or consequential losses suffered by you due to your use of AI functions.

We maintain public complaint and reporting channels. If you discover content in ShotFun that infringes your rights, you may notify us by email at support@shotfun.ai and provide evidence of your rights. We will handle the complaint in accordance with legal requirements.

If you violate these Terms or platform rules, we may take measures depending on the circumstances, including warning, refusing publication, deleting content, restricting account functions, terminating services, permanently closing accounts and other measures provided by laws and regulations.

If your breach causes us to bear liability to any third party, receive penalties from authorities, or suffer other economic or goodwill losses, you must compensate us for all losses suffered.

Protecting user personal information is one of our basic principles. We will protect your rights to browse, modify, delete relevant personal information and withdraw authorization according to law, and will use encryption, anonymization and other security measures to protect your personal information.

You understand and agree that when you use ShotFun, we may push information, publish advertisements or provide other related services. We perform advertising and promotion obligations according to law.

All intellectual property rights in ShotFun products and services belong to us, including software, technology, programs, webpages, layout design and electronic documents.

Intellectual property rights in content uploaded or published by you through ShotFun belong to you or the original rights holder.

To better share and promote your works, for content of any form publicly published by you through ShotFun, you grant us a worldwide, free, non-exclusive and multi-level sublicensable right to display and promote the content on ShotFun or other promotional channels.

Income, rewards, benefits or similar amounts you receive through ShotFun may be subject to taxes. You understand and agree that when tax authorities require us to withhold or pay taxes on your behalf or handle tax filings, you should cooperate with us in fulfilling tax obligations.

ShotFun is primarily intended for adults. If you are under 18, you must carefully read these Terms under the guidance of your guardian and may use ShotFun only after your guardian agrees to these Terms.

Guardians should perform guardianship obligations and pay attention to minors’ online safety. If your ward applies to register a ShotFun account, we may deem that the account has been registered with your consent.

You understand and agree that ShotFun products and services are provided on an as-is basis according to current technology and conditions. We make no express or implied warranty regarding uninterrupted service, timeliness, security, correction of errors or similar matters.

For service interruption or losses caused by force majeure, network failure, system maintenance or similar causes, we are exempt from liability to the extent permitted by laws and regulations. Because ShotFun is a local creation tool, we are not liable for local data loss caused by your personal device, such as hard drive damage or accidental file deletion.

Except where laws and regulations expressly provide otherwise, in no event will we be liable for indirect, consequential, punitive, incidental, special or penal damages.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. After these Terms are updated, we will publish the updated version in the ShotFun client and on the official website. If you continue to use ShotFun, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

Our notices to you may be delivered by system prompt, page pop-up, announcement, in-site message, email, SMS or other methods.

The formation, effectiveness, performance, interpretation and dispute resolution of these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.

These Terms are signed in Fengtai District, Beijing, People’s Republic of China. If any dispute arises between you and us, both parties should first seek friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, you agree to submit the dispute to a competent people’s court in Fengtai District, Beijing.

Headings in these Terms are for reading convenience only and do not affect the meaning or interpretation of any provision.

You and we are independent parties. These Terms do not create any agency, partnership, joint venture or employment relationship between the parties.
