ShotFun Privacy Policy

Beijing Zhihuixiu Fan Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, as the operator of ShotFun, understand the importance of personal information security and privacy protection.

This policy applies when you access and use ShotFun products and related services through the ShotFun desktop application for Windows and macOS, or through the official website at shotfun.ai.

Account registration and sign-in: ShotFun can only be used after sign-in. You may register with a mobile phone number or use an account opened for you by our staff. To protect account security, we collect your phone number and SMS verification code. ShotFun currently does not support user-managed nickname, avatar or profile editing.

Local file permissions: To provide AI comic drama production features, we need local file or storage access when you import local images or videos, or when you save production results to your device.

AI content generation: When you use AI comic generation features, we may encrypt and upload the text prompts, images or other materials that you actively select or enter to our servers for temporary algorithm processing. After the task is completed, the source materials and generated results are returned to your local client. We do not permanently store your original materials or generated results on our servers.

Device and log information: To keep the ShotFun client compatible, secure and stable on Windows and Mac devices, we may collect hardware model, CPU/GPU type, memory size, operating system version, device identifiers, screen resolution, network type, IP address, runtime logs, crash reports, installation records, feature usage frequency and performance data.

Customer support: When you contact us by email or feedback channels, we may collect your account information, contact details and communication records so we can respond to your request.

ShotFun does not provide cloud storage or cloud backup services. Project files, generated images, videos and imported materials are stored on the local hard drive of the computer you use.

Please keep your local data safe. If local files are lost because of accidental deletion, cache cleanup, system reinstallation, device damage or device replacement, we cannot recover them for you.

In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, account information and log information collected and generated during domestic operations are stored within the territory of the People’s Republic of China.

We retain your account and log information only for the period necessary to provide ShotFun and related services. After account cancellation, we will stop using and delete or anonymize your personal information as required by law.

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside Beijing Zhihuixiu Fan Technology Co., Ltd. except with your explicit consent, as necessary to work with service providers, or as otherwise required by law.

To support SMS verification codes, AI computing resources and similar service functions, we may share only necessary and de-identified information with third-party partners such as cloud service providers and SMS service providers.

If a merger, acquisition or asset transfer occurs, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the successor to continue performing the obligations under this privacy policy.

We publicly disclose personal information only with your explicit consent or when required by laws, legal procedures, litigation or government authorities.

You may request cancellation of your ShotFun account by emailing support@shotfun.ai. After verifying your identity and account security status, we will assist with cancellation within 15 working days. Account cancellation is irreversible, and we will delete or anonymize your personal information afterward.

ShotFun currently does not support self-service viewing or editing of personal profile information other than sign-in status in the client. For account status inquiries or other requests, please contact us by email.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect the personal information you provide and to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage or loss.

Only employees and partners who need to know the information are permitted to access personal information, and we apply strict access controls and confidentiality obligations.

The internet is not completely secure. We will use reasonable efforts to protect the security of information you send to us.

ShotFun is mainly intended for adults. If you are under 18, you should read and agree to this privacy policy with the supervision and guidance of your parent or guardian before using ShotFun. If you are under 14, please stop using the software immediately.

As ShotFun products and services evolve, we may update this privacy policy from time to time. After an update, we will publish the updated version in the ShotFun client or on the official website.
